Overview
Hammerite Rust Remover Gel is specially formulated for the safe removal of rust from nuts, bolts, garden tools and other metal objects. It’s easy to apply with a non drip formulation for vertical surfaces and removes rust in just 2-3 hours. It can be used on garage doors, BBQ’s, metal garden furniture and metal railings to name a few. Topcoat can be applied in 3 hours after use ensuring you can quickly renovate the surface and protect exterior metal from the elements.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease, flaking paint or rust. Use a wire brush to remove loose rust and flaking paint.
Application
Before applying Hammerite Rust Remover Gel to any metal surface always test a small area.
- Use a brush to apply the gel liberally.
- Work into the surface and leave for 15-20 minutes.
- Repeat the process, apply additional gel as necessary at 30 minute intervals for a period of 2-3 hours or until rust removed.
- If the rust has not been completely removed repeat the process.
- Under some conditions a light deposit of flash rust can occur, this can be wiped off or over coated when dry.
